Installation Procedure

Install the cooling fan motor.
NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
Install the screws to the cooling fan motor.
Tighten

Tighten the screws to 6 N.m (53 lb. in).

Connect the electrical connector to the cooling fan motor.
Install the cooling fan to the shroud.
Important: Turn the cooling fan nut counterclockwise to tighten.
Install the cooling fan nut.
Tighten

Tighten the nut to 6 N.m (53 lb. in).
Install the cooling fan and shroud assembly. Refer to COOLING FAN REPLACEMENT - ELECTRIC .

Install the thermostat.

Install the thermostat housing and gasket.

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
Install the thermostat housing bolts.
Tighten

Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
Install the radiator hose to the thermostat housing.
Install the crossover exhaust pipe. Refer to EXHAUST CROSSOVER PIPE REPLACEMENT in Engine Exhaust.
Install the air cleaner and duct assembly. Refer to in Engine Controls - 3.4L.
Fill the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING COOLING SYSTEM .
