Installation Procedure

- Install the cooling fan motor.NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
- Install the screws to the cooling fan motor.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 6 N.m (53 lb. in).
- Connect the electrical connector to the cooling fan motor.
- Install the cooling fan to the shroud.
Important: Turn the cooling fan nut counterclockwise to tighten.
- Install the cooling fan nut.
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 6 N.m (53 lb. in).
- Install the cooling fan and shroud assembly. Refer to COOLING FAN REPLACEMENT - ELECTRIC .
- Install the thermostat.
- Install the thermostat housing and gasket.
NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
- Install the thermostat housing bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
- Install the radiator hose to the thermostat housing.
- Install the crossover exhaust pipe. Refer to EXHAUST CROSSOVER PIPE REPLACEMENT in Engine Exhaust.
- Install the air cleaner and duct assembly. Refer to in Engine Controls - 3.4L.
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING COOLING SYSTEM .
