WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Saturn Vue. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

NOTE: Do not use mineral oil or a paraffin base oil in the hydraulic system. These fluids will damage the rubber parts in the cylinders. Only DOT 3 brake fluid should be used.
IMPORTANT: Carefully clean the cap and sides of the clutch reservoir before removing to prevent contamination of the system with dirt, water or other foreign material.

The clutch fluid level should be between the MIN (2) and MAX (1) lines on the clutch reservoir. If fluid is above the MAX line (1), remove enough fluid to bring the system to the proper level. If fluid is below the MIN line (2), inspect the clutch system for leaks and repair as necessary. Complete the repair by adding fluid to bring the system to the proper level.
