Squeaky Clutch Pedal

Squeaky Clutch Pedal

Cause Action
DEFINITION: A growl or whine noise is coming from the clutch when engaged or disengaged.
Review the Symptoms - Clutch  and perform the necessary inspections.
Clutch actuator cylinder damaged or worn Replace the release bearing. Refer to Clutch Actuator Cylinder Replacement  .
Clutch master cylinder push rod
  1. Inspect the clutch master cylinder push rod where it attaches to the clutch pedal and enters the master cylinder.
  2. Replace the clutch master cylinder if necessary. Refer to Clutch Master Cylinder Replacement  .
Clutch pedal bushing worn or dry
  1. Lubricate the bushings with lithium grease.
  2. Replace the clutch pedal if necessary. Refer to Clutch Pedal Replacement  .
Hydraulic system failure
  1. Inspect the clutch hydraulic system. Refer to Diagnostic Starting Point - Clutch  .
  2. Replace faulty components as necessary.
