Removal Procedure

- Raise and support the hood.
- Remove the hood hinge covers.
- Using a grease pencil, mark the position of the hood hinge.
- With an assistant to support the hood, remove the hinge bolts and the hinge.
CAUTION:
When a hood hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.
