Installation Procedure

  1. Install the lift gate weatherstrip over the flange area in position noted in the removal procedure.
  2. Press the seal over the flange firmly to seat.
  3. Locate an exposed end of the ripcord at the weatherstrip joint and pull the ripcord around the lift gate opening. This process will bring the seal lip over the lift gate trim.
  4. Close the lift gate.
