Installation Procedure

  1. If you are replacing the quarter panel with a new one, transfer the fascia mounting brackets and the fuel door to the new quarter panel. Refer to Fuel Filler Door Replacement  .
    2. Fig 1: Quarter Panel

  2. Position the quarter panel to the body of the vehicle.
    3. NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the quarter panel to body bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the quarter panel to body bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  4. Install the quarter panel to body nuts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the quarter panel to body nuts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  5. Install the fuel filler cap strap.
  6. Install the tail lamp. Refer to Tail Lamp Assembly and /or Backup, Sidemarker, Stop, Turn Signal Bulb Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  7. Install the rear fascia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Rear Bumper in Bumpers.
  8. Install the rear wheelhouse liner. Refer to Wheelhouse Liner Panel Replacement - Rear  .
