Removal Procedure

Fig 1: Cooling Fan & Shroud (L61)

Remove the front fascia. Refer to Front Fascia removal procedure in Body Front End.
Drain the coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System .
Disconnect the fan motor from the engine harness.

Unclip the wire harness from the fan assembly.

Unclip the transmission cooler lines from the fan assembly.

Remove the battery box inlet air duct.

Remove the condenser splash shield.

Remove the radiator inlet hose.

Remove the radiator outlet hose.

Remove the upper CRFM bracket assemblies.

Lift the CRFM assembly from the lower brackets and carefully move the bottom of the assembly rearward while tilting the top forward.

Remove the fan assembly to radiator bolt.
Remove the fan assembly.
