Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket .
  2. Remove the E/Z entry manual release knob. Refer to Inertia Latch Replacement .
  3. Remove the front seat trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Front Seat .

  4. If equipped with heated seats, disconnect the seat back heater wire connector from under the seat cushion.

  5. If equipped with power lumbar, disconnect the lumbar modules (1,2)

  6. Unfasten the J-retainer on the outboard side of the seat cushion cover.
  7. Slide up the sewn side of the cushion cover in order to expose the recliner/seat back attachment.
  8. Remove the roll pins from the hinge supports and the recliner. Discard the roll pins.
  9. Remove the pivot bolts which secure the recliner to the seat frame.
  10. Remove the seat back from the front seat.
