Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front seat head restraint. Refer to Head Restraint Replacement - Front Seat .
  2. Remove the manual lumbar handle and the trim ring, if equipped.
  3. Position the seat full forward and the seat back full up.
  4. Remove the nut that secures the seal belt to the seat stud. Refer to SEAT BELT RETRACTOR REPLACEMENT -- LEFT FRONT (4 DOOR) or SEAT BELT RETRACTOR REPLACEMENT -- LEFT FRONT (2 DOOR) and to SEAT BELT RETRACTOR REPLACEMENT -- RIGHT FRONT (4 DOOR) or SEAT BELT RETRACTOR REPLACEMENT -- RIGHT FRONT (2 DOOR) .
  5. Unfasten the J-hook retainers at the bottom of the seat.
  6. Pull out the seat back cover end flaps.
  7. Position the seat back full down.
  8. Reach inside of the seat back cover and unfasten the hook and loop retainers that secure the front seat back cover to the pad.
  9. Position the seat back to the vertical position.

  10. If equipped with heated seats, pull up the trim cover one third.
    • Disconnect the seat heater wire connector, light green, from under the seat cushion.
    • Pull the wire through the back foam pad.
  11. Pull up the trim cover two thirds.
  12. Remove the seat back cardboard panel.
  13. Remove the front seat restraint retainer. Refer to Head Restraint Retainer Replacement - Front Seat .

  14. Remove the cover from the seat back by pulling the cover up and over the pad.
