Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front fascia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper (Chevrolet, GMC)  or Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper (Oldsmobile) .
  2. Fig 1: View Of Fascia-To-Fascia Support Rod Push-Pins

  3. Remove the bolts (1) that retain the fascia support rods (2) to the impact bar (5).
  4. Remove the fascia support rods from the impact bar.

  6. Remove the bolts (1) that retain the impact bar to the frame (2).
  7. Remove the impact bar (3) from the frame.
  8. Remove the tow hooks from the impact bar. Refer to Tow Hook Replacement - Front (Chevrolet (X88) ONLY) in Frame and Underbody.
