Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the grille. Refer to GRILLE REPLACEMENT (GMC) , GRILLE REPLACEMENT (CHEVROLET) and GRILLE REPLACEMENT (OLDSMOBILE) in Exterior Trim.
  2. Fig 1: Front Bumper Fascia

  3. Remove the 2 bolts that retains the top of the fascia to the headlamp panel assembly.
  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE in General Information.

  6. Remove the push-pins (3) that retain the fascia to the fascia support rods (2).
  7. Remove the fog lamps from the fascia. Refer to FOG LAMP REPLACEMENT - FRONT (GMC/CHEVROLET) and FOG LAMP REPLACEMENT - FRONT (OLDSMOBILE) in Lighting Systems.
  8. Remove the cornering lamps from the fascia. Refer to CORNERING LAMP REPLACEMENT in Lighting Systems.
  9. Remove the air deflector from the fascia. Refer to Air Deflector Replacement - Front Bumper Fascia .

  11. Remove the 4 push-pins that retain the bottom of the fascia to the air dam.
  12. Release the body side attachment tabs and pull the fascia straight forward from the wheelhouse opening in order to remove the fascia from the vehicle.
