Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Using a small paint brush apply zinc-chromate primer to the spoiler stud inner and outer holes.
  2. Clean the compartment lid attachment surface using with isopropyl alcohol and allow to flash off for 30 seconds.
    IMPORTANT: Do not touch the adhesive backing.
  3. Remove the backing tape from the underside of the spoiler.
  4. Install the rear end spoiler to the rear compartment lid, pressing into place until the adhesive is fully seated.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  5. Install the new nuts (mastic washers) to the studs on the rear compartment lid spoiler.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the rear compartment lid spoiler nuts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  6. Install the 2 inner compartment lid plugs to the compartment lid.
  7. Close the rear compartment.
