Installation Procedure

  1. If replacing the body to fender seal, position the seal to the vehicle.
  2. Ensure that the integral clips (1) on the seal are seated into the fender bracket (2).

  3. Position the fender to the vehicle.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the bolts that retain the fender to the vehicle.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the hood bumper to the vehicle.

  6. Install the rocker panel molding. Refer to MOLDING REPLACEMENT - ROCKER PANEL (TRAILBLAZER, ENVOY, BRAVADA) or MOLDING REPLACEMENT - ROCKER PANEL (TRAILBLAZER EXT, ENVOY XL) in Exterior Trim.
  7. Install the wheelhouse panel. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement  .
  8. Install the assist step, if applicable. Refer to ASSIST STEP REPLACEMENT in Frame and Underbody.
  9. Remove the protective tape.
