LOW TIRE PRESSURE Indicator

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, 2002 Chevrolet Impala, 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, and 2001 Chevrolet Impala. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) receives a class 2 message from Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) requesting illumination and illuminates LOW TIRE PRESSURE indicator in message center when EBCM detects low pressure in any of four tires. IPC sends a class 2 message to radio in order to activate an audible warning of 4 chimes. After adjusting tire pressure, reset tire inflation monitor. See RESETTING TIRE INFLATION MONITOR  under PROGRAMMING.
