CHANGE ENGINE OIL Indicator

Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) receives a class 2 message from PCM requesting illumination and illuminates CHANGE ENGINE OIL indicator in message center when PCM determines that engine oil should be changed. Once oil is changed, perform engine oil monitor reset procedure in order to clear CHANGE ENGINE OIL indicator. See RESETTING ENGINE OIL LIFE SYSTEM  under PROGRAMMING. CHANGE ENGINE OIL indicator message will appear for 60 seconds.
