Reset Button

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, 2002 Chevrolet Impala, 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, and 2001 Chevrolet Impala. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

You can reset AVG ECON, FUEL USED or AVG SPEED trip computer modes by pressing and holding RESET button for three seconds while you are in mode you wish to reset. A chime will sound to confirm that your requested change has been made and all segments of display will briefly light up. To change display to a metric or English reading, press RESET and MODE buttons at same time. Hold them down for three seconds, and display will change. A chime will be heard to confirm new selection. DIC will send a class 2 message to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) to change units displayed in odometer.
