Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Buick Regal and 2003 Buick Century. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Open the hood.
  2. Mark the hood latch to the hood latch support bracket with an grease pencil.
  3. Remove the bolts from the hood latch.
  4. Remove the hood latch from the hood latch support bracket.

    IMPORTANT: Do not crimp the hood latch release cable.
  5. Disconnect the hood latch release cable from the hood latch by squeezing the cable retainer and position aside.
  6. Remove the hood latch from the vehicle.
