Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the left instrument panel (IP) insulator. Refer to CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - LEFT  .
  2. Remove the bolts from the bottom of the steering column filler.
  3. Pull the steering column filler rearward and upward, releasing the retaining clips from the IP.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the driver information center (DIC), if equipped.

  5. Remove the steering column filler.
