Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Buick Regal and 2003 Buick Century. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Align the compartment housing to the I/P.
  2. Press inward on both sides of the I/P compartment housing and rotate upward and into the I/P.
  3. Hand tighten the screws to the I/P compartment hinge.
  4. Align the I/P compartment housing to the I/P for the proper fit.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Install the screws to the I/P compartment hinge.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  6. Open the I/P compartment.
  7. Connect the loop of the damper cord (1) to the I/P support.

  8. Close the I/P compartment.
  9. Install the right I/P insulator. Refer to CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - RIGHT  .
