Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Buick Century. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
IMPORTANT: Rotate the driveshaft as necessary in order to obtain the engagement with the oil pump drive unit.
  1. Install the oil pump driveshaft and the oil pump.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the oil pump bolt.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolt to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).

  3. Install the oil pan. Refer to OIL PAN REPLACEMENT  .
