Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the trim covers from the steering column. Refer to STEERING COLUMN TRIM COVERS REPLACEMENT  .
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the steering wheel theft deterrent lock (3).

  3. Remove the screw (1) from the steering wheel theft deterrent lock (3).
  4. Using a flat tipped screwdriver, push the tab in on the steering wheel theft deterrent lock (2) and pull to remove it from the steering column (1).
