Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the vacuum tank. Refer to VACUUM TANK REPLACEMENT in HVAC System - Manual.
  2. Remove the floor carpet. Refer to CARPET REPLACEMENT -- FRONT in Interior Trim.
  3. Remove the rear floor air outlet duct (1) from the holes in the floor reinforcement.

  4. Disconnect the rear floor air outlet duct from the heater core outlet cover.
  5. Remove the bolts from the vacuum harness bracket and position bracket aside.
  6. Remove the heater outlet cover screws.
  7. Remove the heater outlet cover.
  8. Disconnect the defroster/vent door link at the vent door on the left side of the HVAC module assembly.

  9. Remove the heater core cover screws.
  10. Remove the heater core cover.

  11. Remove the vent door (1) from the HVAC module assembly.
