Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Buick Regal and 2003 Buick Century. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Replace the O-ring. Refer to O-RING REPLACEMENT  .
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the service port valve.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the valve to 11 N.m (98 lb in).

  3. Evacuate and charge the system. Refer to REFRIGERANT RECOVERY AND RECHARGING  .
  4. Leak test the A/C service port. Refer to LEAK TESTING  .
  5. Install the service port cap.
