Compressor Pressure Relief Valve Install (V5 - Conventional Mount)

  1. Clean the valve seat area on the rear head.
  2. Lubricate the O-ring of the new pressure relief valve and the O-ring assembly using new 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the new pressure relief valve (2).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the valve to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  4. Perform a leak test. Refer to COMPRESSOR LEAK TESTING (V5 DIRECT MOUNT)  or COMPRESSOR LEAK TESTING (V5 - CONVENTIONAL MOUNT)  .
