Removal Procedure

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to REFRIGERANT RECOVERY AND RECHARGING  .
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
  3. Remove the vacuum brake booster. Refer to VACUUM BRAKE BOOSTER in Disc & Drum.

  4. Remove the brake pressure modulator valve bracket. Refer to BRAKE PRESSURE MODULATOR VALVE (BPMV) BRACKET REPLACEMENT in Antilock Brake System.
  5. Remove the accumulator clip.
  6. Loosen the accumulator tube nut at the accumulator (2).

  7. Disconnect the accumulator tube from the accumulator.
  8. Remove the accumulator tube to evaporator core block fitting bolt.

  9. Disconnect the accumulator tube from the evaporator.
  10. Remove the accumulator tube.
  11. Remove the O-ring seal and discard.
