Circuit Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2002 GMC Envoy XL, 2002 GMC Envoy, and 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The switch power circuit to the rear wiper/washer switch is a 12-volt reference supplied by the body control module. The rear wiper/washer switch is a series of resistors and the switch position is determined by the voltage of the rear wiper/washer switch signal circuit to the body control module. The rear wiper/washer switch has continuity at all times and the body control module expects a rear wiper/washer switch signal voltage in all switch positions including OFF.
