Installation Procedure

IMPORTANT: Ensure that the black side of the horn is facing forward on the vehicle.
  1. Install the horn (2) to the radiator support (1). Left side and right side horn assemblies are shown.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the horn bolt.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the horn bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  3. Connect the horn electrical connector.
  4. Install the park/turn signal lamp assembly. Refer to PARK/TURN SIGNAL LAMP REPLACEMENT (OLD STYLE) or PARK/TURN SIGNAL LAMP REPLACEMENT (NEW STYLE) .
  5. Install the headlamp. Refer to HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY OR HEADLAMP BULB REPLACEMENT (OLD STYLE) or HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY OR HEADLAMP BULB REPLACEMENT (NEW STYLE GMC) or HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY OR HEADLAMP BULB REPLACEMENT (NEW STYLE CHEVY) .
  6. Lower the hood.
