Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 GMC Sierra, 2003 GMC Cab & Chassis Sierra, 2003 Chevrolet Silverado, and 2003 Chevrolet Cab & Chassis Silverado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the console to the bracket.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the fasteners retaining the console to the bracket.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the fasteners to 2 N.m (17 lb in).

  3. Install the amplifier and bracket to the console bracket. Refer to AMPLIFIER REPLACEMENT .
  4. Install the console bin. Refer to Console Storage Bin Replacement (Expect Pro)   or Console Storage Bin Replacement (Pro)   . 
  5. Install the rear seat audio control to the console, if equipped. Refer to AUDIO CONTROL REPLACEMENT-REAR SEAT .
  6. Install the console in the vehicle.
  7. Connect the wire connectors.
  8. Move the console forward in order to install the retaining screws.
  9. Install the 2 screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

  10. Install the cupholder to the console. Refer to Cupholder Replacement (Luxury)   or Cupholder Replacement (Non-Luxury)   or Cupholder Replacement (Rear)   or Cupholder Replacement (Pro)   . 
  11. Install the upper console bezel. Refer to Bezel Replacement - Floor Console (Non-Luxury Upper)   or Bezel Replacement - Floor Console (Luxury Upper)   or Bezel Replacement - Floor Console (Non-Lux Lower)   . 
  12. Install both front seats. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT-FRONT BUCKET .
