Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 GMC Sierra and 2003 Chevrolet Silverado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the transmission range selector cable bracket.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the transmission range selector cable bracket bolts (1).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  3. Align and install the cable to the bracket.
  4. Install the retainer that secures the cable to the bracket.
  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Check the vehicle for proper operation. If cable adjustment is necessary, refer to Automatic Transmission Range Selector Cable Adjustment   .
