Installation Procedure

  1. Position the NEW seal in the front case with the part number facing out.
  2. Using J 44731  install the input shaft seal.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  3. Position the clutch actuator cylinder.
  4. Install the clutch actuator cylinder bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  5. Install the transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement   . 
  6. Install the rear propeller shaft. Refer to PROPELLER SHAFT REPLACEMENT - ONE PIECE or PROPELLER SHAFT REPLACEMENT - TWO PIECE .
  7. Check the transmission fluid level. Add if necessary.
  8. Lower the vehicle.
