Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE .
  2. Remove the rear propeller shaft. Refer to PROPELLER SHAFT REPLACEMENT - ONE PIECE or PROPELLER SHAFT REPLACEMENT - TWO PIECE .
  3. If required, remove the following:
    1. 3.1. The main shaft nut
    2. 3.2. The prop shaft yoke washer
    3. 3.3. The main shaft washer
    4. 3.4. The yoke

  4. Remove the rear seal using J 6125-B  (1) and J 23129  (2).
