Installation Procedure

Using J 22834-A install the NEW rear oil seal.

If required, install the following:
1. 2.1. The yoke
2. 2.2. A NEW main shaft washer
3. 2.3. A NEW prop shaft yoke washer
4. 2.4. The main shaft nut
If required, use J 8614-01 in order to keep the keep yoke from rotating.
NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
Tighten the main shaft nut.
Tighten

Tighten the nut to 441 N.m (325 lb ft).
Install the rear propeller shaft. Refer to PROPELLER SHAFT REPLACEMENT - ONE PIECE or PROPELLER SHAFT REPLACEMENT - TWO PIECE .
Check the transmission fluid level. Add if necessary.
Lower the vehicle.
