Installation Procedure

  1. Apply a thin bead of sealant GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480), or equivalent to the oil drain and fill plug threads.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the oil drain plug.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the plug to 37 N.m (27 lb ft).

  3. Fill the transmission to just below the bottom of the fill plug hole. Refer to Lubrication Specification .

  4. Install the oil fill plug.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the plug to 37 N.m (27 lb ft).

  5. Lower the vehicle.
