Removal Procedure

Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE .
Using J 36511 remove the oil fill plug.

Place a suitable drain pan under the transmission in order to catch the drained transmission fluid.
Using J 36511 remove the oil drain plug.
Remove any old sealant from the transmission housing.
