Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT CAUTION .
  1. Disconnect the auxiliary battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Single Battery)  or Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Auxiliary Battery) .
  2. Unsnap the auxiliary battery positive cable cap.
  3. Disconnect the auxiliary positive battery cable (1).

  4. Remove the battery hold down retainer bolt and retainer.
  5. Remove the auxiliary battery.
  6. Remove the battery insulator, if necessary.
