Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT CAUTION .
  1. Disconnect the auxiliary battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Single Battery)  or Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Auxiliary Battery) .
  2. Remove the auxiliary battery cable clips from the fender wheelhouse inner panel.
  3. Remove the clip for the auxiliary battery cables on the frame.
  4. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to JACKING AND LIFTING .

  5. Remove the auxiliary battery negative cable bolt.

  6. Remove the battery cable retainer nut.
  7. Remove the auxiliary battery cable from the retainer.

  8. Remove the starter lead nut.
  9. Remove the auxiliary battery cable from the vehicle.
