Installation Procedure

  1. Install the thermostat and thermostat housing to the water pump.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the thermostat housing bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

  3. Install the radiator outlet hose. Refer to Radiator Hose Replacement - Outlet (4.3L Engine)  or Radiator Hose Replacement - Outlet (4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L Engines)  or  Radiator Hose Replacement - Outlet (6.6L Engine)   or  Radiator Hose Replacement - Outlet (8.1L Engine)   .
