Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement (4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L Engines)  or Engine Sight Shield Replacement (6.0L Engine w/RPOs Y91 and Z88) .
  2. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) tube (1) from the intake manifold and valve rocker arm cover.
  3. Remove the PCV valve (2) from the PCV tube (1).

  4. Remove the vent hose from the throttle body and the valve rocker arm cover.
  5. Replace the hose/tube as necessary.
