Installation Procedure

Apply sealant GM P/N 12346004, (Canadian P/N 10953480), or equivalent around the indicator tube 13 mm (0.5 in) below the tube bead.
Install the indicator tube. Rotate the oil level indicator tube into position.
NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
Install the indicator tube bolt.
Tighten

Tighten the bolt to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

Install the right exhaust manifold. Refer to EXHAUST MANIFOLD REPLACEMENT - RIGHT (4.3L ENGINE) .
Install the oil level indicator.
