Installation Procedure

  1. If the vehicle is a 2500 series, position the transfer case shield, if equipped.
  2. Install the transfer case shield screws.

  3. If the vehicle is a 1500 series, position the transfer case shield, if equipped.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  4. Install the transfer case shield bolts, if equipped.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts/screws to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  5. Lower the vehicle.
