Installation Procedure

  1. Install the control lever assembly.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the control lever bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

  3. Install the control lever bezel.
  4. Install the control lever bezel screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in)

  5. Install the control lever knob.
  6. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to JACKING AND LIFTING .
  7. Install the shift control rod, refer to Transfer Case Control Rod Replacement .
  8. Install the front propeller shaft. Refer to PROPELLER SHAFT REPLACEMENT-FRONT .
  9. Install the transfer case shield, if equipped, Refer to Transfer Case Fluid Replacement .
