Removal Procedure

- Recover the refrigerant from the A/C system.
Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
- Remove the evaporator tube nut from the evaporator.
- Remove the evaporator tube from the evaporator.
- Remove the right park/turn signal lamp. Refer to PARK/TURN SIGNAL LAMP REPLACEMENT (OLD STYLE) or PARK/TURN SIGNAL LAMP REPLACEMENT (NEW STYLE) .
- Remove the grille from the vehicle. Refer to GRILLE REPLACEMENT (OLD STYLE) , GRILLE REPLACEMENT (NEW STYLE GMC) or GRILLE REPLACEMENT (NEW STYLE CHEVROLET) .
- Remove the evaporator tube nut from the condenser.
- Remove the evaporator tube from the condenser.
- Remove the evaporator tube from the vehicle.
- Discard all of the used sealing washers. Cap all of the open connections.
