Removal Procedure

- Lower the headliner. Refer to Headliner Replacement (Trailblazer EXT, Envoy XL) or Headliner Replacement (Trailblazer, Envoy, Bravada) in Interior Trim.
- Disconnect the sunroof harness electrical connector.
- Disconnect the drain hoses from the sunroof assembly. Refer to the following procedures:
- Support the sunroof with an assistant.
- Remove the bolts that retain the sunroof assembly to the roof panel
- Remove the sunroof assembly from the vehicle and place on a clean, prepared surface with an assistant.
- Remove the drive motor from the sunroof assembly. Refer to Power Sunroof Motor Replacement .
- Remove the sunroof module from the sunroof assembly. Refer to Power Sunroof Module Replacement .
- Remove the glass panel from the sunroof assembly. Refer to Sunroof Glass Panel Replacement .
- Remove the sunshade from the sunroof assembly. Refer to Sunroof Sunshade Panel Replacement .
IMPORTANT:
Do not remove the headliner.
IMPORTANT:
Do not remove the drain hoses.
