Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2002 GMC Envoy XL, 2002 GMC Envoy, and 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the sunshade to the sunroof assembly. Refer to Sunroof Sunshade Panel Replacement .
  2. Install the glass panel to the sunroof assembly. Refer to Sunroof Glass Panel Replacement .
  3. Install the sunroof module to the sunroof assembly. Refer to Power Sunroof Module Replacement .
  4. Install the drive motor to the sunroof assembly. Refer to Power Sunroof Motor Replacement .

  6. Position the sunroof assembly to the vehicle with an assistant.
  7. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  8. Install the bolts that retain the sunroof assembly to the roof panel.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (7 lb ft).

  9. Connect the drain hoses to the sunroof assembly. Refer to the following procedures:

  11. Connect the sunroof harness electrical connector.
  12. Install the headliner. Refer to Headliner Replacement (Trailblazer EXT, Envoy XL) or Headliner Replacement (Trailblazer, Envoy, Bravada) in Interior Trim.
