Installation Procedure

  1. Position the side rails (2) to the roof panel.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the bolts which retain the side rails to the roof panel, starting with the rearmost bolt first on each side.

    Tighten:  Tighten the luggage carrier side rail bolts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

  4. IMPORTANT: Ensure that the loops on the cross rails are indexed toward the front of the vehicle.
  5. Install the cross rails (4) to the side rails.
  6. Lock the cross rails to the slide rails.
  7. Install and secure the finish covers (3) to the side rails.
