Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2003 GMC Envoy XL, 2003 GMC Envoy, and 2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the wiring harness to the liftgate as previously routed. Ensure that the harness retainers are fully seated.

  3. Connect the 2 liftgate power lock assembly connectors (1,3).

  5. Connect the rear windshield wiper motor connector (1).
  6. Connect the liftgate window latch connector.

  8. Connect the license plate lamp connector (1).
  9. Connect the electrical connectors (3) from the liftgate module.

  11. Connect the rear windshield defogger connectors (2).

  13. Connect the rear washer fluid supply line.

  15. Connect the liftgate wiring harness inline connector.
  16. Install the wiring harness pass through boot to the liftgate.
  17. Install the liftgate trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE  .
  18. Install the liftgate window garnish molding. Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT - REAR WINDOW in Interior Trim.
