Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the liftgate window garnish molding. Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT - REAR WINDOW in Interior Trim.
  2. Remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE  .
  3. Disconnect the electrical connectors (3) from the module as necessary.
  4. Fig 1: Module From Liftgate

  5. Remove the bolts that retain the module to the liftgate.
  6. Remove the module from the liftgate.
