Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2003 GMC Envoy XL, 2003 GMC Envoy, and 2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the cargo shade/cover.
  2. Remove the left body side upper trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR QUARTER UPPER (TRAILBLAZER, ENVOY & BRAVADA)  .
  3. Remove the liftgate sill plate. Refer to DOOR SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE  .
  4. Remove the left rear door sill panel. Refer to DOOR SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT - REAR (TRAILBLAZER, ENVOY & BRAVADA)  or DOOR SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT - REAR (TRAILBLAZER EXT & ENVOY XL)  .
  5. Remove the lower seat belt anchor bolt.
  6. Release the clips that retain the trim panel to the body.
  7. Remove the trim panel from the vehicle.
