Installation Procedure

- Position the trim panel to the vehicle.
- Position the seat belt over the top of the trim panel, ensuring that the buckle is not behind the trim panel.
- Index the locating tabs on the trim panel to the holes in the body.
- Seat the clips the retain the trim panel to the body.NOTE: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the seat belt lower anchor.
Tighten
Tighten the anchor bolt to 70. N.m (52 lb ft).
- Install the left rear door sill panel. Refer to DOOR SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT - REAR (TRAILBLAZER, ENVOY & BRAVADA) or DOOR SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT - REAR (TRAILBLAZER EXT & ENVOY XL) .
- Install the liftgate sill plate. Refer to DOOR SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE .
- Install the left body side upper trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR QUARTER UPPER (TRAILBLAZER, ENVOY & BRAVADA) .
