Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the head restraint. Refer to HEAD RESTRAINT REPLACEMENT - REAR SEAT   . 
  2. Remove the two screws securing the seat back release latch handle to the seat back.

  4. Remove the seat back cover and pad. Refer to SEAT BACK COVER AND PAD REPLACEMENT - REAR NO. 1 (TRAILBLAZER, ENVOY & BRAVADA)  or SEAT BACK COVER AND PAD REPLACEMENT - REAR NO. 1 (TRAILBLAZER EXT & ENVOY XL)  .
  5. Remove the clips (2) securing the seat back release latch cable to the seat back frame.

  7. Remove the cable from the slot in the cam (1).
